Welcome to Tree Whisperer WNY!

"And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything"   William Shakespeare

This website was inspired by a premature winter storm that devastated the Western New York region on October 12, 2006 leaving countless numbers of trees, young and old, diseased and healthy, either completely destroyed or severely damaged.  There were many, including myself, who tried desperately to save some of the trees that night, but it did not take long to realize that much was out of our hands.  There was a reason for everything that was happening during those days of power failures and destruction.  I also sensed that it was time for me to become a spokesperson for the trees and the messages that they speak silently.  If only people would listen...

These silent guardians of our landscapes are the messengers of Nature and of the future, giving indications of the health of our environment and the actions we must take to prevent further destruction.  Ultimately, the Earth will heal herself, but what about us?  Viktor Schauberger, the Austrian environmentalist and visionary once said that a society that destroys its trees, will ultimately destroy itself.  Will we continue to work against our Earth?  Or begin working with her...

With this storm also came a personal decision to leave a property I had been caring for these past years-- a special place where I had been teaching, doing research and healing the land, one flower and one rock at a time.  It was a heartbreaking conclusion, but I knew it was time... Time for me to begin working with another property, as well as continuing to heal my own life by changing my personal landscape and eliminating what was no longer in alignment with my life goals.

Although the work that I do-- creating sacred space and healing the Earth is my passion, the knowledge and experience that I have, have not been acquired easily nor without personal and emotional cost throughout the years.  I bring to you the wisdom that I have acquired through amazing teachers, friends and family, clients and students, and my animals--all those who have taught me along the way, as well as my most profound and intimate teacher--Nature herself and the homes and land I have had the honor of learning from and sharing their secrets.

The most important lesson and yet the most difficult to understand is the unique set of characteristics that each and every home presents to us and the mysteries that we must unravel and interpret---The Spirit of Place...

Please join me on a journey to the Self, to reconnecting to Nature, and ultimately to saving this beloved home that we all share-- our planet Earth....
